  8.  @RECOVERY1969 : Your argument is nonsensical. If these populations were betrayed by their governments, then how is it these people's fault? The democratic process relies on the concept that elected officials have the best interests of their citizens at heart. It's kind of difficult for regular citizens to anticipate that their government will betray them.
