  1. Well Paul, for once I have to disagree with you to a certain extent. But then again, i'm admitedly a little bit morbid. I'm very fascinated with the shape and look of "industrial"-looking buildings. Giant factory complexes, power plants, giant machinery and industry blocks really stimulate my imagination. For me, they symbolize human achievement. End products of science and technological progress. They are the beating hearts and blood vessels of industrialized nations. That said, I do agree that it's very wierd to apply to living spaces. Sure I might be strange and eccentric in the sense that I would actually like to live in an abandoned factory (or better yet, an old bomb shelter or military bunker underground) if I could afford one. However I do realize that it is an acquired taste and that most people don't share my sentiments so it would make more sense building houses for people to live in rather than concrete slabs. So I sort of agree and sort of disagree.
