All I want to know is: where is the illegality in all of this? Does the first amendment cease to be relevant because you got paid by someone to exercise free speech?

@rych2703 I thought Russia was evil and authoritarian for forcing journalists and NGO's to register as "foreign agents"? 😆

@sleepyazureeye4969 Again, this is exactly what Russia does, and it's also exactly the thing that both the american government, NGO's and corporations have criticized Russia for doing. You don't see the massive hypocrisy there? Personally, I don't really give a crap if they disclose who they're funded by or not. That's a job for investigative journalists to find out. I don't care because unlike most feeble minded people who just believe anything at face value, I was taught to question what I read or was told and to compare different sources to figure out a close approximation to the truth. You know, basic source critique. It used to be a thing when I grew up. But apparently the government thinks we must be "protected" from potentially untruthful information. 🙄

@michellewilson6249 It is. Censoring tenet like this is the actual election interference. I don't think it's the government's or the corporations duty or right to decide which opinions citizens get exposed to or not. It's the citizens duty to practice critical thinking when digesting information that influence how they vote. We can't expect "Big Brother" to do all thinking for us.

@maximisatwat And in what way is it "treason" exactly? There's not even been an official war declaration between Russia and the U.S. Treason has very specific legal definitions, if you didn't know.
