LogicalSense No it doesn't. Yes they do, and they should. Good men and women recognize that their jurisdiction and right to dictate to others does not extend globally. Our western democracies did not form because some "outsider" showed up and "taught us" to build democracies. We had to go through plenty of reforms (many of them violent) to get it. To think that you can simply "give" democracy to another country is pure hubris. You only end up making the situation worse. If these people truly want liberty and democracy, you show them a shining example for them to aspire too (even if it requires violent revolutions to get it). You cannot ever simply hand democracy over by invading the country, destroy all infrastructure and remove the government from power, and then just leave and expect shit to sort itself out.

Congressman Matt Gaepz Ukraine will never get Crimea back.

Congressman Matt Gaepz "They're more anti-russian than neo nazi!" Nice copium there. First you said Ukraine had no neo nazis at all. Now you're forced to backpedal because I am right and you are wrong

LogicalSense : Sorry but you haven't "rebuilt infrastructure" since the invasion of Japan during WWII. That was the last time the U.S actually handled the aftermath of an invasion responsibly. Since then all you've ever done is make situations worse. And no, "good intentions" doesn't cut it, sorry. Spend those billions of tax dollars on your own domestic and MASSIVE housing crisis instead. Get those homeless people off the streets. Or how about getting people off the opioid addictions which your pharmaceutical companies and corrupt, bought off doctors get regular taxpayers hooked onto, destroying families and lives in the process? Money far better spent than going into some islamic shithole on the other side of the world just to make things worse for the local population overthere. Stop sticking your fucking noses where they don't belong.

Congressman Matt Gaepz The Banderites?

Congressman Matt Gaepz The war is going poorly for Ukraine too. Russia didn't send a large enough taskforce for the job to begin with. There was no hope of taking the entire country. But the Ukrainian casualties number in the 100.000 range and it's still climbing and several towns and cities have been bombed back to the stone age. That's hardly a "stellar defense". Your strategically illiterate assumptions are clearly based in the false notion that so long as Russia doesn't manage to conquer all of Ukraine, then the Ukrainians must be doing a "good job". But if the defense results in Ukraine becoming little more than a bombed out scrap heap with millions of Ukrainians dead, then defense clearly didn't go well at all.

But I thought there were no dark sides to escorting? I thought "sex work was real work"?

Congressman Matt Gaepz Did you miss the part where pretty much all neo-nazis in Ukraine always fly Banderite flags? Did you miss the part where the only reason why Banderites had to fight the germans was because the germans didn't want slavic allies?

@roofy4567 Except all I said was true. The best way to spot a liar is when someone flat out denies Ukraines Azov battalions ties to neo-nazism. Their unit emblem contains both the Wolfsangel and the Black Sun symbols, and there's photos of them posing with swastika flags next to the Ukrainian flag. And Zelensky pay money to these guys.

So, they're no different from most soldiers throughout history then. "Professional" soldiers are a minority throughout history. Most soldiers were either volunteering civilians, or conscripted civilians. Even as late as WWII, most infantrymen only had basic training by todays standards.

It's almost as if it's a bad idea to "respect the indigenous population" and reduce troop presence in military actions overseas. They didn't fix Japan by "reduced military prescence" back in the day,
2
The authorities should focus more on dealing with the far left and their terrorist actions they call "protests" instead. The "far right" is a tiny nothingburger

@roofy4567 In Russia the government oppose and crack down on neo-nazis though. In fact being a neo-nazi is illegal in Russia. In Ukraine however, neo-nazis get weapons and government paychecks. Quite a difference.
1
Congressman Matt Gaepz Still not worse than fielding and funding an entire Azov Battalion composed of neo-nazis who proudly wear nazi symbols on their uniforms even.

Well what do you expect? In their spare time, they enjoy dressing up young orphaned boys in drag and molesting them. It's called "bacha bazi" over there. Disturbing stuff.

@seroquelchamber Well, if it makes you feel better: I've never paid for sex, nor have I ever wanted to. You might think i'm lying, but if I tell you why then you might see that my reasons make sense and perhaps feel more convinced that i'm not lying. Basically: sex for me, as a man is around 50 percent physical stimulation/pleasure and 50 percent psychological pleasure. The latter being derived from the fact that a woman having sex with me does so because she WANTS to. I'm being desired for the man I am, or at the very least she find my appearance physically attractive to the point where she want to sleep with me. If I went to see a prostitute, then at the back of my head I'd constantly think that she's not doing this with me because she likes me, she only does it so she can get my money and never think about me again. Doesn't matter what she says or how she behaves. The nature of the transaction makes it so that I can't let this thought go, and it will ruin the whole experience for me. So, that's why I don't buy sexual services and have never really wanted to. I doubt i'm the only man in the world who feels like this.

@number11even41 Not really. By far left standards, Jan 6 was only mildly violent, seeing as how antifa and scum like them burn cities to the ground during their "protests".
