  2. I'll admit that I read a fair degree about some of the more exotic serial killers throughout history. But it's never been about fascination with human suffering or death, but rather about curiosity about the mind that drives these serial killers to do what they do. They're so far removed from a normal, functioning human mind that it almost feels like discovering an alien or something. So I think one can be curious about such topics, without being fascinated with the terrible and atrocious deeds that have been done. It's pretty natural for any sane human to want to understand that which is hard to understand.
