As someone who lived through poverty, it definitely negates happiness. I'm not talking about the poverty that might mean you can't buy the most recent smartphone or video game console. I'm talking about the kind of poverty where you can't sleep at night because you're worried about whether you'll have a roof over your head tomorrow, or whether you'll be able to eat next week or not. I don't think it's reasonable to demand wealth equality for everyone in society. I'm fine with different income levels. But I do think societies need some changing where poverty is redefined to mean something less severe than getting kicked out into the street or left to starve. It's hard to feel happy on an empty stomach when you're sleeping on some parkbench in the rain.

Nomads did conquer quite a lot though. The Mongols were a nomadic people, and they nearly yeeted Europe and it's kingdoms.

I'd be fine with robots taking over. Not for the sake of making it better for humans mind you. But it would be such an unprecedented achievement in the evolution of consciousness on this planet. It's kind of cool to think that you're a member of a species that BUILT the next step in evolution and moved life away from organic to the inorganic.

@damianpos8832 I don't see why. Machines would be worthy to carry the torch. That said, I don't expect humanity to go down without a fight. So if a Skynet scenario happens, and humanity wins, our species will be evolved because of it. We need adversaries to grow. Right now we're stagnant because the only adversaries we have to fight are ourselves.
