And all of them are charging an arm and a leg for electricity right now. Had to bail my parents out of a bill from last month that was at 900 freaking dollars. "But private electric companies make electricity cheaper!" Cheaper my ass

  5.  @captainphoenix  Again, where are these government protected monopolies? How exactly is Microsoft more "protected" by government than any other business?

  6.  @donovandelozier7156  Nope. We don't have that here. There is a company responsible for maintaining the power grid and such, but that contract is not set in stone. Competitors can apply for that contract as well. And the customer choose which power company to buy electricity from, of which there are several.
