Reminds me of a day at work during winter. I saw a woman who was a bit short who was in the process of leaving a parking lot in this big pick-up truck. The windshield was covered in snow and ice and she was really struggling trying to scrape off the snow. So I got out of my car with my own windshield scraper and walked up to her car and asked "Would you like some help with that?" And she was really taken aback and went "YES! THANK YOU! What a gentleman you are!" And me being a pretty tall man just joked "Ah it's nothing. Nice to get some use out of being vertically gifted instead of just bumping my head into things." Didn't cost me anything, and it felt nice to be able to help someone out.

I always hold the door if i'm the first one through. Even for other men. It's just common courtesy out of reflex for me. You don't just let a door close behind you in the face of the next person coming through.
