I find it difficult to be an advocate of reducing islamic influence and mosques being erected in western countries while also condemning India for getting rid of churches. Christianity clearly does not belong in India, just as Islam does not belong in Britain.

@williaminnes6635 I'll admit that I don't know the specifics of the situation. So I argued against Connor's rhetoric at face value. Now I am all for reducing Islam in the western world. I am not a fan of multi-culturalism at all and I am not a fan of "religious freedom" either in the sense that anyone from anywhere should be allowed to practice any kind of backwards religious practices as they see fit. I think we have a right to dictate which religions are allowed in our homelands and which aren't. But it would be massively hypocritical of me to then go on and say that other countries should not exercise the same right as well. If India feels that christianity is exerting an encroachment on their culture and religion, they should be able to ban it outright if they want. India is not my homeland, so I have to respect the fact that my opinions have no jurisdiction over India. But I guess Connor, being a brit, just can't let go of the dead British Empire.

@sirsurnamethefirstofhisnam7986 Well there are multiple muslims in Britain who were born in Britain too. So I guess nothing can be done about the growing islamic influence in Britain then? 🤔

@andersschmich8600 But the demographic change has already happened. There are muslims born in Britain now. British citizens by default. You won't be able to just deport them. So the only realistic means here is to neuter their religion.
