  1. I prefered the mini series to the Kubrick film to be honest. The Kubrick film made Jack completely irredeemable, while the mini series had that moment of Jack taking control one last time and telling Danny to run away. The mini series also had the living animal hedge bushes in it. All in all it stayed more true to the novel than Kubricks film did.
