  2. I guess it's on account of Walters milquetoast background that he neglected it but, Gustavo Fring was obviously a kingpin with a very respectable and civil facade. Fring evidently had money laundering going on. If I would've been in Walters shoes, I'd have asked Fring to help me out laundering the money from my part of the drug manufacturing. Perhaps even going so far as accepting a smaller part of the profits in exchanged for laundered money rather than a bigger share of illegal drug money. This would've had three benefits. 1. Walter could've easily posed in front of Skyler, Hank and the authorities as having a legitimate, well paying job working for Fring. 2. It would've created closer ties with Fring, which is something that Fring clearly wanted since he's a control freak of note. 3. It would've allowed Walt to amass a significant wealth, even through a reduced cut of profits and most likely never getting caught as a result.
