As we approached our 'freedom day' back in June, which was then delayed so that we were made free in July, a very telling trend was noticeable. The nearer we got to the date, the fewer were mentions of it in the MSM. On the actual day, when we might have expected the encouragement of street parties and great celebration, with Boris coming out on the balcony smoking a cigar and lifting his Homburg; there was nothing. Not one sense of an ending and its consequent return to living normal lives again.
