  1. The young people are being weaned onto the state teat. All seems just fine to them right now. Just wait until the economy has been totally destroyed and full-on communism is initiated. See how they like slavery and the total imposition of state over their lives. Then the shortages and then the reduction in their UBI because the five-year plan goes tits-up.
