  1. Great roundup, much appreciated. Newbie question: what is the difference between the dollar that is debased by the inflation of the printing press; and the dollar that is debased by a declared devaluation? Is it just that one practice is under the counter and the other is out in the open, or is there a worthwhile distinction to be made?
