The Times and The Sunday Times needs to stop this nonsense immediately. Alternatively, they can carry-on as they are, making themselves look stupid.

nim These are exploratory talks. Calm down.

Travis These were billed as no more than exploratory talks. At least the talking has started.

Who is President? Who is making the decisions?

It's not UK's frontline, nor is it Europe's. It's the Neocon adventurers' front line, being manned by the Ukrainians. Starmer is just a career mouthpiece and a very ineffective one. The UK has funded and trained over the past almost three years and the equipment has made not a bit of difference - the Russians have just burned everything we sent; the tens of thousands of troops sent here to be trained are now most of them dead. The French recently trained a whole battle group and they were killed or ran away before they even reached the front line. All through this, our media have pushed the public utter lies. There are still people who think that the Ukraine is winning, no matter that they have lost town after strategic town. That a Labour leader proposes to throw British troops into this charnel house is absolutely appalling.

@sharzadgabbai4408 Yawn.

The usual off-the-shelf statement. This man should be raging and promising to provide assurance this will never happen again. How did he gain access? How was he stopped and by whom? Who is he and what were his motives?

What all these nodding donkeys, with all of their brayings of agreement, need to have uppermost in their minds is that whatever major plans the UK military might make, are a pimple when set against the might of the Russian Army. How many troops can Britain put into the field? 10,000? 20,000? The Russians would wipe them out within a week. How would just 200 body bags at Brize Norton be played on the BBC News? It is well past the time that the British government and its people need to get real.

Within a few weeks, they'll all be dead. Killed in a war that did not have to happen.

Embittered Drunk It's not 'if'. Labour has no time for the ordinary worker these days; they are far more concerned with ideology and power. Labour have consigned the indigenous working person to history by flooding the low-paid labour market, thus screwing wages to the floor. The Tories are old masters at that trick and so have done nothing to stop the flood. Time to ditch both.

Did this really need a warning of 'graphic images'?

He made it despite the concerted efforts of the MSM, not only in the US. The Times' coverage leading up to the US election has shown rank bias. Chin, chin.

Is this what the British press has been reduced to? Everything is going tits-up for the NATO attack on Russia, and so this is all the news to report?

@kennymorrison7227 Really pulling the stops out with the literary skills there Kenny.

Penny claims she can't put her heating on. She is speaking at the end of the hottest spell we've had for years. Why would there have been a need to put the heating on?

@Automedon2 Pension is £179 per week and then there are rent allowances and other benefits in place which ensure that everyone in UK can eat and be warm.

@Callum "Winter has just passed" As in there are flowers in full bloom behind a man outside in the sun in a T-shirt. Yeah right.

Skill Builder Wow what absolute monsters you must be. Shame you didn't have any decent beer to drink though.
