  1. It's becoming a bit of a mantra isn't it? Of course the government can print itself any number of new pound notes. But when it does, how many of these newly crafted pounds will I need to earn to buy a loaf of bread?

  4.  @WarrenPeaceOG  My argument is not to constrain the supply of currency, merely to be prudent. The mere act of issuing £billions does not in itself guarantee economic growth, as can be seen right now. Targeting is key.
