  1. andielines The creation of fresh currency units does not cause inflation, it constitutes inflation. If those fresh units are not directed into productive channels, then subsequent, general price levels will rise.

  2.  @andielines  Every additional unit of currency degrades the buying power of all the pre-existing units. Goods and services remain at the same volume and therefore are sought-after by more units. In effect, the goods and services command more currency to secure their purchase.
