  1. Decades of scientific health policy established that lockdowns do not work and are not the way to deal with viral outbreaks. Why? Because they actually lead to more long term deaths - not just from collateral deaths but from the actual virus in question. The globally recognised policy was overturned in 2020 when western governments responded to China's call to emulate their lockdown approach. The result has been a world in which every economy has been crippled - except one. The BBC was just this morning asking members of the public what they were looking forward to 'when lockdown was finally over'. Expressions of light-hearted joy from all. All of which leaves me wondering just how many lies people need to be told, before they stop believing what the government and the BBC are telling them.
