  2. Re-watching this after the 'My Dinner With..' video. Amazing experience! So many music greats that I hold close but Joni is out there on her own for me. Just yesterday I was sitting in weak and welcome sunshine, wine, cigar and the 'Travelogue' album of orchestral versions. Bliss. Her vocal quality on that album is just remarkable.

  6. Wow, thanks so much for this Rick. Great to see that one of my guitar heroes is as well, a great, down to earth character. Some great lines there, revealing of great experience, with a humour that evades jadedness. A true artist. On a sombre note: I'm same year as Steve, just a little older and, well, time's wingéd chariot and all that; the thought hits that we have been robbed of a full year of performances by this man - and so many others. We all must ask ourselves, 'how many times that year do I have left to get stuff done?' It must surely be so with all performers: musicians of all genres; actors; dancers; poets etc. Those just starting up also and trying to carve a place out in their chosen profession. What I'm getting round to asking is: why are there no voices of protest or at least questioning, regarding the continued death-grip that is being exerted on all public-space events and performances due to the lockdowns? I ask this question increasingly and yes, I'm assailed with screams of '.....denier'. I'm not denying anything, I'm challenging the veracity of lockdown as a solution. I'm just so puzzled as to how we can just carry on accepting this situation, especially when the science that purports to supply justification for our continued zombie, atomised existence, is debatable. Sorry to respond to such a great interview in this manner, but as the band said way back there: 'something better change'.

  7. Alternative to what? There is no alternative. You either sit tight for over a year, while the government shuts down all venues, and shut up; or you get out there and complain and protest like fuck (like you did for every other injustice) about the fact that there is no need to kill all of our economy and society for the sake of a middle ranking viral outbreak that has already passed. Honestly, you 'creative types' - you turned out to be all wind and piss.

  19. Nothing at all has happened to Ed Sheeran. He started off by giving us dreadful music and he's still at it. Fabulously successful and rich and who would not do that, given the opportunity; but it's just awful stuff he puts out that's all.
