  1. A further ironic twist to this horrendous event: Usman Khan stabbed those people at a meeting in Fishmongers' Hall. The meeting was held to recognise and celebrate the achievements of people involved in the rehabilitation of offenders. Khan was one of those offenders and the two people he stabbed and murdered were part of a Cambridge University programme working to aid the rehabilitation process. One of those murdered was Jack Merritt, whose Father made a statement saying that his Son would not want his death to be used to cause division and hatred. And yes, there are another 74 people with similar records to Khan, walking the streets of the UK.
