Nine minutes and more of this, and the nearest we get to a charge of any substance made against Wallace, is that on two occasions he told jokes 'of a sexualised nature'. Without any more detail, we are encouraged to view his remarks as deeply inappropriate. Really? Are we to regard, from this point, all sexual jokes as being forbidden? It's a black and white situation; there is no grey-scale made available. Telling a joke with even the slightest sexual connotation is put into the same category as soliciting young people to email sexually explicit images. As with so many other cases, here, a man's career is being destroyed, on the strength of nothing more substantial than rumour.
