It's actually worse, and somehow better. All those charts and graphics tell of the material numbers involved in preparing for war. What they can't illustrate is the mindset of the young people who would be needed to fight wars. The Europeans have raised themselves layers of generations now, a population base which, for very good reason, is averse to war. The psychological trauma of the two World Wars goes deeper than we might think and it has taken effect. The politicians can beat the war drum all they like; sock puppet Von der Leyen can read from her script the bankers have written, about 'stepping up'. The fact is that the people will simply not march in enough number and with enough conviction. The few idiots who believe the script and who answer the conscription call, will be done for in short order.
