In addition, we learn that the RAF is bombing Yemeni civilians and has also flown hundreds of surveillance sorties over Gaza, supplying information to the Israelis. Hardly anyone even gives all this a thought. Try open a conversation on any of it and you are quickly sidelined. People are just so used to wars being a thing 'over there'. A complete and tragic disconnection is going on - kids being blown to pieces, yet the pressing issue is what football team is to be promoted. God help us.
