Yet another "don't look here, look there" confection to fill time while the economies of the west are lowered into the grave.

The salt mines can only be used by seasoned troops.

The resounding silence that has settled over the UK media tells us what stage we have reached.

Well done on having Mr Matlock give his account and analysis of the events that led to our present catastrophe. Having heard him speak, I am left wondering how on earth the US presentation of its ideas has gone from his poise and erudition to the inanities of Blinken, Sullivan, Kirby et al? Great interview with a great man.

Comfortable people don't obey orders readily - cold, hungry, penniless people do.

@3phistory701 You sure about that war with Germany thing?

"...the full toolkit of American diplomacy...". That would be a hammer then?

Jy Very good!

The surprise is that Biden has been allowed to stand in Komrad Kamala's way as long as this.

There is always another Merkel to fill the post. The EU has boxes of them to call on. The fight never ends.

The figures used are all out there. How you supposing to refute it?

Trying to imagine the opposite of this exercise: a Russian destroyer bimbling around in the Solent.

@3phistory701 ...and then?

Good to hear Mr Beebe's views on the current situation; he comes across as a very astute, fair-minded observer. Having said that, his assessment of the Ukraine situation omits crucial mention of anything leading up to the 24th of February 2022 invasion, thus his description of Russia's 'aggression' is left without any mitigation. Over 30 years of US encroachment, deceit and malign intent for which no account is made. Similarly, in relating the events of 1962 and the Cuban missile crisis, nothing is given of the preceding actions of the US - all is couched as though it's a sudden show of Soviet military expansion. The siting of Jupiter missiles in Italy and Turkey the preceding year, all within striking distance of the then USSR, was a major, pre-emptive act on the part of the US and any account of the event that does not include such facts is woefully inadequate. Despite this the reasoned approach here is welcome diversion from so much that we have come to expect from current US security spokesmen. Unfortunately Mr Beebe speaks from the sideline while the Neocon juggernaut trundles on.

Department of what?

Ukraine's cynical sacrifice at the hands of the UK/US pact has shown the world how the woke wage war. When the penny drops to the Ukrainian people, how they have been used, there will be hell to pay.

Construction workers-v-Destruction workers.

Really pertinent discussion. One oddity in all this, that I don't see mentioned anywhere: why is the elected leader of France in there, yet the interests of Britain have been put in the hands of an ermine-clad sidekick? Has Sunak got other business to deal with that's more important than trying to avoid (more likely to engineer) another World War?

"If we see a military disaster." The military disaster will not be televised.

@danielbwest Are you going to refute the figures for us then? Or just use emojis?
3
@danielbwest Those mentioned in the video. Facts.

That spiritless spectacle of the opening ceremony with its walking drones, waving in their gimp-masks. How many young people are making the decision right now, that all that training is just not going to be worth it? And so, we can look forward to the treat of the Qatar World Cup as it impales itself.

Zulqadarr Rashid Hope the flood situation is easing and Imran Khan gets back in power.

@peterbustin2683 The point being: how did the BBC know that it would be worth putting a war correspondent on board a warship sailing in what they purport to be international waters? The further deduction, that this is pre-ordained state provocation, is obvious.

clanger basher Not stupidity, pure wickedness.

The media has not failed. Since March 2020 it has carried-out its task steadfastly. How do I know this? Because without the media the western world could never, firstly have closed down society and trade for such tragically lengthy and damaging periods. Without the media the people would have resisted such criminal actions. Since that time the sense of danger and the trauma has been kept in place by successive 'crises' which again have been painted as being much more than they actually are. The media mean us no good, they want to bring us down; and in that they are not failing.

The US/UK pact is using this to strike ever more fear into American and European people. The bankers need it so.

Kiev's 'decision-making centres': Washington and Bonn.

The BBC propaganda machine swung into action today. According to them Italy has just voted for an extreme right wing party that has its roots in fascism and is in thrall to Mussolini.

@astroflyinsights They froze them but still they stink.

Peter Bustin Embedded why?

@peterbustin2683 I don't know. Do you? Does every warship on active service carry an embedded BBC reporter?

Way back in the early 1990s, John Major warned the nation that things were tough and the people had to tough it out. "If it isn't hurting, it isn't working" was his stolid refrain. Now, after being subjected to continual abuse from both Tory and Labour governments, it seems that hurting is our eternal fate.

"Quantitative Easing" - the term and the practice itself, originate from the work of Professor Richard Werner in the mid '90s when he was Chief Economist at Jardine Fleming in Tokyo. It is NOT just bog-standard money printing. It's complicated and there are many Youtube videos of him explaining how it is intended to work.

Yet time after time, the EU sock-puppets harp on about "defending democracy".

Translation: "...today, the dollar - intentionally denuded of so much of its former buying power through the profligate 'creation' out of thin air, of trillions of new dollars - reached the point at which it takes 120 of them to pay for just one barrel of crude."

@michaels4255 How have you inferred from my comment, that bank reserves circulate?

Trance master I must have missed that bit. Where and how do they do that?

There is no vacuum. Komrad Kamala holds all the power, just as planned.

The Russians must be fully aware that Trump is temporary. US administrations come and go - but the Neocons remain in position and ready to stage their next attack. It is a long-game strategy. Prepare for the Trump/Putin cordiality to be short-lived when Russia lays-out its requirements.
1
We are seriously in need of coming to terms with the new realities of democratic voting systems and their susceptibility to techno-swerve. New Zealand fell to its adoption; the US then followed. The technocrats have taken the field and the likelihood of their giving up any of their gains are zilch.
