Moreover, the number of US bases and missile installations is now hugely increased so that from Murmansk to the Black Sea Russia finds itself threatened right along its western border. All of this, while the US with its Monroe Doctrine, has since 1832 upheld its right to forbid any foreign entity to operate within its territorial region.

  3.  @victorsago  Representatives of both Ukraine and Russia met and had an agreement signed and ready for ratification by their respective legislations. Had that been allowed, then peace would have ensued. 1. Suggest a better name for it. 2. Where do you think things are going from here: peace or expanding war?
