warren 'Most of us...'? Well here in UK, most people are fully wedded to the "Russia is the aggressor...unprovoked, full-scale invasion...as long as it takes" mindset that the man on TV has drilled into them. I agree with you that there is a need to go further and to identify the motives and the actual organisations responsible for all this; and yes, the people you mention are critical sources working to that end. But come on: in just 33mins we have here an excellent outline, to which we can direct others.

The argument for sovereign state self determination, loses its potency when we compare the situations of the US and of Russia. America has enjoyed, since 1832 and with great prudence - the protection of the Monroe Doctrine which forbids any foreign power to establish any threat to US territory. Mexico, if it were to decide as a sovereign self determined state, to allow any force within Mexican territory, to site any installation that threatened the US; then the US would act swiftly and decisively to eradicate that threat. Mexico's sovereign rights would be ignored and the world would see this as perfectly justifiable. Yet Russia is expected to demand no such right to defend itself against the repeated and escalating encroachments of NATO missiles and bases. This is in addition to the point raised by Mr Johnson, comparing the number of non-domestic military bases operated by Russia and the US respectively. None of this is mentioned in any of the Western MSM; for understandable reasons.
