I'll float the idea again, since nobody seems to be able to scrape together a response. Propaganda abounds in both directions, leaving the remote observer to piece things together in the absence of solid verification and in the gaps between recognisably biased evidence. In this disabling fog of war, the little information that is commonly held without contest, has to be the starting point when trying to gauge what is likely to be happening. One such given is that the Russian advantage in artillery firing rate is and has been for well over a year, in their favour in the ratio of around 9 to 1. Another undisputed fact is that most casualties in this type of combat come as a result of artillery fire. By simple logic it must surely follow that the casualty rates have to be in accord with this imbalance; if so, then one would have to expect whatever Russian casualty numbers are, to be multiplied by around 9 to arrive at Ukrainian losses. All we hear on this channel and so many others, is a gleeful account of Russian casualties with no word at all that the Ukrainians have suffered any losses at all. Is there any long-term sense in hiding such information?
