I get it: in the grand scheme of things my house is never actually ALL mine; and I'm just the custodian and yes, I'll die and someone else will get to piss in my bathroom; however, my house IS mine over a period and to a degree which together satisfy my needs and my sense of fulfilment, and which take account of the amount of labour I put into becoming the one that, by enforceable law, has the right to piss in my bathroom and to restrict that right and others, exclusively to those who I see fit to allow. To break that link between the accrual of privilege and the encumbrance that is labour, runs counter to productiveness and will embed apathy and grant establishment to penury. That so many young people find themselves excluded from any reasonable aspiration to own their home, is the heart of all our current predicament. This needs mending. The abolition of property rights is not the fix.
