Just visited Scotland, mostly the time spent out in the sticks but had a stroll through Girvan and Dumfries. Shocked and horrified at the extent of damage done to both places. People just walking around like zombies, most of them not bothering to take the chin hammock off even in the street. Looks like around 3 out of every 4 shop premises are empty - just in some there are sad remnants of the goods they once sold left in there, but mostly the glass just blanked-out. A couple of greengocers I saw have blocked their doorways with a bench or similar so that shoppers have to stand in a line waiting to be served and the goods handed out to them. Fun when the rains come I should think. I just can't believe so many are accepting this. Where do they hope to get by all this nonsense? If eighteen months of this hasn't sorted the problem then how long do they think businesses can hang on? Wilful destruction by the cretins in power, and no-one is holding them to account.
