  2. Mr Reich refers to 'inflation' when he more accurately would say 'price hikes'. This is more than a semantic quibble, as the understanding of how price rises have come about, cannot be fully founded if the difference is not made between the two phenomena. Without doubt the corporates have cleaned-up all the business made available by the inordinate measures taken to 'wage war' on what was known from prior to lockdowns to be of middle-rank in terms of deaths. With millions told to stay at home and with small, medium businesses strangled, trade was pushed up the ladder to big business, and there it has largely stayed. In addition, trillions of dollars were invented out of nothing so that all those dollars already in existence were rendered weaker in their buying power. THAT is inflation, and from that point onward, price rises were baked in the cake.
