  1. Not everything needs a "professional" or "medical" diagnosis. People who are gay or bisexual self-diagnose, for example. People can often recognise relevant traits and feelings within themselves, relate those to the experiences and behaviours of others and draw parallels and meaningful conclusions. Would you say a gay man is using the homosexual "excuse" for why they're not interested in female partners?
