  1. On the mucous production aspect, I gave up milk and other dairy for ethical reasons rather than health specifically, but I did find my breathing got a lot better. I'd spent most of my life breathing through my mouth as my nose was seldom clear, but these days I can breathe through my nose most of the time. Sadly I've yet to find a plant-based milk that doesn't split in my coffee
