  1. It seems like Nissan invested huge amount of money into CVT and now they refuse to admit CVTs are unreliale crap and install it everywhere they can. Even old 4 gear hydraulic ATs worked very smooth and were reliable. There was no point in inventing CVT for cars.

  2. Internal combustion engines are at the limit of their potential. Every small improvement in power or fuel consumption creates such complex unreliable overengineered monsters. We should switch to electric cars ASAP. They are much simpler in terms of mechanics, and electronic parts are much easier to diagnose, fix or replace. And tune to increace power too :)
