  3. Google "Identical Ancestors Point". Everyone with European ancestry have exactly the same set of ancestors from 1000 years ago, this includes Charlemagne. There are also models, simulations and fancy maths that prove this. And we are all also descended from Broom Hilda.

  4.  Ben McKean  I've researched and their is ZERO proof! Check again. Word of mouth from someone not born at the time of Herod etc can not really count as factual. Multi translated, word of mouth passed down stories and politicised extracts from the bible also cannot be deemed as a factual source. The Romans were famous for record keeping and they were supposed to be in Bethlehem for a census..................not a mention of them!

  12.  @UsefulCharts  I saw that also and well done with all your charts. I can only trace the oldest part of my family tree back to 1645 where there is a direct ancestor called Mary Bruce . They weren't too well off a generation but I like to think she has something to do with Robert de Bruce - but hey....it doesn't always work that way :(
