  81. Brexit Monger, sorry I thought you meant the unionist bombers that will go mad when the sea border is introduced! Hang on a minute....you are the ones that want out, you are the ones that have repeated ad nauseum that you simply "must have complete control over your own borders" but what you are actually saying is that you.....(wait for it)..............don't want a border. "We must be have complete control over this border that does not exist". Do you hear yourself? I'm not sure you even understand what you mean when you say "transiting your territory". We are part of EU27! There are no borders, we will not stop EU citizens or goods coming into the country, which part of being in the EU do you not get? And we have absolutely no say in where these EU citizens or goods go within the 26 counties of Ireland, nor do we want to. And as there legally cannot be a land border in Ireland, what are YOU going to do? You still don't get it...do you? Britain legally will never be able to erect a land border on the land of Ireland ....ever! Unless we vote and allow it........pfffft...as if that would ever happen! And even if you legally could (which you can't), it wouldn't be bad for our trade with you. What do you think would happen with the presence of 50,000 British troops and customs officials, military hardware, barbed wire, fencing, barriers, facilities and bases manning the 499 km border consisting of 300 major and minor road crossings? Any idea? I'm still not whinging...I honestly do not understand your argument!

  85.  @heatleynoble  Here we go again! The EU is a democracy, run and ruled by its members: the democratically elected governments and Parliaments of EU member states. Laws of the EU can only be passed by the directly elected European Parliament, alongside the Council of Ministers, that comprise the ministers of democratically elected governments of EU member states. The European Commission is the servant of the EU (the equivalent of our civil service) and not the master of the EU. The Commission President is elected by the European Parliament that also has to approve all the Commissioners. The Parliament has the democratic power to dismiss the entire Commission, in the same way that our Parliament can pass a vote of no confidence. The EU Council, comprising the democratically elected leaders of every EU member state's government, including Theresa May, democratically agrees the agenda of the EU. All treaty changes, and enlargement, require the unanimous - and I repeat unanimous - consent of all the Parliaments of every EU member state, however large or small. Every single EEC/EU treaty was fully debated and democratically passed by your Parliament in Westminster. Not once were any changes to your membership of the EU imposed on you, and neither could they be, because the EU is a democracy. In many ways the EU is more democratic than the UK system, where you still have an unelected second chamber, where you still have a first-past-the-post system of elections to Parliament (the European Parliament has proportional representation) and in the EU referendum, two out of our four nations of the United Kingdom did not vote for Brexit, but you are still going ahead with it. (This could not happen in the EU where unanimous consent is needed).

  100.  @dixienormous8559  (1) That was the Irish Rebellion of 1641, not surprising after 600 years of occupation and everything the English bring with them. And it was against the Scottish/Presbyterian land grabbing planters (invaders as one may say). Recent research has suggested that the number is in the region of 4,000 or so killed, though many thousands were expelled from their homes. It is estimated that up to 12,000 Protestants may have lost their lives in total, the majority dying of cold or disease after being expelled from their homes in the depths of winter. So sorry about your 154,000 ethnic cleanser fake news figure! By the 1630s, there were 20,000 adult male British settlers in Ulster, which meant that the total settler population could have been as high as 80,000. In the summer of 1642, the Scottish Parliament sent some 10,000 soldiers to quell the Irish rebellion. In revenge for the revenge to the Scottish colonists, the army committed many atrocities against the Catholic population. (2) Google Cromwell and the figure of 600,000 slaughtered, died from disease and starvation! Even most Brits say Cromwell was Numero Uno Grande Shitto of your ex empire (3) Now Google how the british landlords and government ignored what you would call "the potato famine" and we call genocide! There was food in Ireland but you lot thought better to keep for the mother fcukin land and the "empire" (see also Genocide of Bengal and Genocide in North America for more brit massacres). Please never argue Irish history with an Irishman! The history you were thought is school is Tally Ho Empire history......................and completely wrong! Now go away and thanks for the brexit sitcom! Karma! Reading your post again really proves why so few like the brits.....and you stink of racism, which of course is the real reason behind brexit. We all know that! "Cromwell exacted revenge but he was just too kind to you lot." Oh mighty anon keyboard warrior....thoust maketh me vomit in your general direction.
