@WideMouth Rome would never have fallen had it not become a victim of the same condition that all civilisations face when they go uncontested for long enough: decadence and complacency has claimed many who have gone down in "greatness" and reverence. The Barbarians indeed invaded, but Rome had to be weakened from within first.
