You gave that up ticking for a complete stranger who doesn't even know you exist - and likely they never even got in but because you ticked like a good widdle boy or girl - you accepted the outcome and thus gave that permission to the winner... who no matter who it was, the end results would have been the same as they're all on the same payroll. And if he's wanting to get in the seat and lead - the ones who really run things will instruct him to either start towing the line or his chance of winning will be non-existent. And even if he wins the election, the strings will be pulled and he'll be replaced.

@spector969 A few minor scraps to their knees and you think he's championing you... please don't be simple: he's telling folk of a certain mindset what they want to hear, like every other no matter the party - answering to the exact same source in getting you all to submit.
