Sadly Rishi WAS elected. He was elected an MP and when the campaign for leader got in, he won via the technicalities that come from the political mechanism. Didn't get voted by the public you say? On the contrary - when people last ticked the box on the ballot, they accepted this mechanism prior to its use. So Rishi is there, just like whoever follows, will be there - because the masses insist on falling for the bait of a routine complacence and tick the box thus legalising the con once again. You'll see what I mean come the general campaign. People will oppose certain players, but will still tick the box, submitting unwittingly to those player's masters.
