@ianhunter2374 precisely. But then as it stands we're a bi-partisan parliamentary democracy - we share that with two other countries: those being China and North Korea. How does voting work out for then? Democracy unfortunately is always one day away from Authoritarianism; whether it be Fascist or Communist and when it falls to it, it's always to the thunderous applause of the disillusioned and desperate; who allowed it to happen. So in two years we have a general election; but do we really have a choice or just the illusion of one - when the two sides of the aisle act the same as one another and a monarch scratching it's arse, I say no. And the Eddie Barzoons of this country will not shift - Ideological Subversion has been too integrated over the last century. Question is now as an individual, which do you hate less - Persecution with your freedom or enslavement with acceptance? I for one reject the latter.

@ianhunter2374 the fact you're prepared to go away to think things over and come to your own conclusions is actually quite heartening. It's quite uncommon to have a conversation with a critical thinker prepared to do some reflection and research as opposed to puppetry amongst the show. Most call the masses sheep - but I prefer not to insult an animal, who when one of their own is offed, will wisely bolt as opposed to modern society where a man or woman will be figuratively bolted without a flinch from those surrounding them. Best of luck my friend.

Only in theory.

@ianhunter2374 never really was. The idea of constitution in this country is an illusion - when you go to court, who's court is it? The monarch's, not the people's. If he wanted to, Charlie could make himself an absolute because in spite of being deemed a "constitutional monarch" all laws are signed into effect by him like his predecessors... I dread to think. Everything really is down to the fact the monarchy these days would sooner just stuff their face and let everyone else take the blame. If we REALLY wanted a constitution, we'd have dropped the outdated notion of King the moment we wanted one.

The only reason people voted Tory the last time was because every other party was shrieking to ignore the 2016 vote to leave that fourth reich. They were voted in on that and the fact that Socialists are repugnant. You can be a Socialist in a Capitalist society but dare you try to be a Capitalist in a Socialist one.
