@antonsimmons8519 however a lot of those guys never think about what happens when they're on the front, end up injured with a disability for life to which, much like when their time in the military is over, society doesn't give a crap about them. I've never served but many in my family have and they've all been lucky so far to find something after their time serving has passed - but they've known so many not be so lucky. Stuck permenantly either on welfare and scorned or worse still, the mental issues that can come from being in a war zone that leaves them on the street homeless. It really does seem to be true "War is nothing more then waves of the young and naive sent to fight on behalf of the old and bitter - with someone making a killing out of both."

@antonsimmons8519 absolutely agreed though to play devil's advocate; if people were legitimately informed and not misguided, then hardly anyone would ever actually sign up - the psychopaths maybe but hardly anyone else. That is definitely a plus that any person with a level head would advocate, however war is as profitable as food and energy production and even as much as cancer; hence no government will ever consider a means of stopping it and military don't want to find one; show us an arms dealer that does.
