He DEFENDED him, not failed to prosecute.

Fact is unfortunately that whilst they didn't vote for HIM, they still voted and thus accepted the operandi of the process.

@candy-le4nh 🙄 It never occur to you that he deliberately dropped the ball to get him off the hook... honestly sweetie, pay attention.
27
The sign of a true politician.

And they're all the same - which is why the vote is a complete waste of time. Only difference is Keir is more blatant about it.
13
@candy-le4nh Doesn't take much proof to demonstrate a case of deliberately acting inept. Not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you.
11
@englishciderlover7347 That would be all of them.
4
@scaryfakevirus Sounds like an abused partner constantly going back when they should leave "Things will be different this time, I know it!" It's frustrating when you see the whole thing for how it is, isn't it. And it makes you despair because you're stuck wondering - WHY isn't anyone paying attention to this?!
4
@englishciderlover7347 Wishful thinking - the only thing assured by parties is that they'll play their part telling folk what they want to hear across the spectrum, simply to gull them into taking part and thus legitimise those who really run things.
3
@vordman Because it frankly makes no difference - they all answer to the same master.
2
@halloweenville1 They're not as hidden as most think - they're in plain sight - those who own the land, the money and thus the banks, therefore the businesses and industries including the media. These are the ones who really run things.
1
@halloweenville1 "To hide a leaf, put it in a forest"
1
@halloweenville1 Lol. That argument of yours, repeated by the masses is exactly why we're all in this mess to begin with. Wilful ignorance has now shown it's price and yet here you are still willing to pay despite your complaint.
1
@halloweenville1 Clearly the detail of my vernacular is too vast for your perception. So I'll speak clearly and that isn't meant in condescension. You're looking too deep into the matter, looking to find the ones calling the shots out of the line of sight of the public - to know the politicians aren't the ones in control is good, but you needn't look hard to see where their masters are. Simply consider the fact politicians are out for themselves and are bought: look to see who's funding their matters and you'll find them. Corporations run the world.
1
@SmartCookie2022 Exactly my point - Starmer's position with him was down to either consent, acquiescence or disinterest - take your pick.
1
@TheRuneRealm You always will. That's why when it comes to representation you go with who you can trust most: yourself.
1
@richm2835 Unfortunately so but that also increases the number of people responsible for their legitimising.
1
@robertwootton2161 Any one of them was the worst option.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 You want to talk about negligence and yet you clearly haven't actually read the writing on the wall you're commenting on. The message is this - No matter what party, no matter what leader - the result is always the same.
1
@tomsmith5488 Not so much apathy, but obliviousness.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 Snake Oil Salesmen - telling their share of the masses their brand of what they want to hear. If they had won the whole thing, the whole show would have continued like it is now or they'd be out. Truss was an example of that: not playing by their rules so she didn't even last the month. To what end or purpose? They gave what their MPs wanted so until the next time, they had no reason to bother.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 You give up the moment you capitulate and tick a box next to a name of someone whom you barely know; blindly hoping in that this time "It'll be different" I swear it's like watching someone in an abusive relationship - tell them whats going on and they'll find all manner of reason to justify their misery. I don't give up - I retain my rights unlike everyone who surrenders them for privileges: even less now that the puppet tyrant is putting through such bills as he has.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 I already have - problem is, everybody else is too deluded in the idea of "You don't vote, you don't get a say" keep the very problem itself going. Why do you think I tell folk - STOP doing it!? But I know full and well it's not ever going to be fixed.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 You still don't understand. The only ones who get in are those who do what establishment tells them. Those who don't are crushed by the media to whom also answer to establishment. And even if I got in - I'd be made to tow the line or be replaced. Understand. The game is rigged.
1
@yolandabrinkman2653 You seriously don't understand: The. Game. Is. RIGGED.
