At the rate of this lunacy I say just slap that red button and get it over with. My misanthropy is growing to such a size that I couldn't care much less anymore.

This sort of thing tends to happen every hundred years or so.

Hmm I dunno... I'd say a good number of people who saw mass migration being unabated as being a VERY bad idea!

@scatman8963 Can you provide evidence to his opposition to it?
3
It's finished? Excellent! I'd like to think this nation will finally wake up and abolish this outdated tradition at last.
3
No matter who they chose, it would have come to this - Starmer is just doing exactly what he's been told to. No one could be this inept unless on purpose.
3
Unfortunately he made himself the target: they're collateral and he knows it. "Deserve" has nothing to do with it.
3
Toilets in a third world country not flushing after being professionally installed by charity - "Blame Brexit"
3
Man I don't know what's sadder - the fact these idiots thought to air this, or the fact that there's even more idiots who'll believe the narrative!

The old "If we can't have it, no one can"

@DG-iw3yw What do you expect? We as a species have only managed to excel at four things at most - Forgetting the past and it's lessons. Repeating the mistakes while forgetting the past and it's lessons. Pointing the finger at others yet failing to look at ourselves. And denial, because the ego and pride can't take it. Beyond that - every "progression" has been as a result of those four. The only real cure to it is to live within a dictatorship where you're told your place and you stay in it... and frankly who'd want to live like that? Who'd even be the one to decide that? Who'd be the one to enforce that perspective on the following generation and those following who would have no idea as to how things were prior? Thus the cycle continues once again. Misanthropic and borderline nihilistic as it is to say - the trouble with the human race, is that it's full of people. I'm accepting that stance marvelously.

@birchstudio2900 I commend you for surviving it - but would I be correct in saying that it's turning out similar to said union here in the west?

@Scott-iu2jx Desperate words of a puppeted coward.

Funding and supporting a Fascist state against a quasi communist one... my how the tables have turned...
1
Because food banks aren't the problem. There simply isn't any means for security to do much - each guard is at risk at getting fired for so much as laying a finger on a lifter due to most franchises and their ridiculous "Non-Violence Policy" which puts more people at risk then it averts, simply because the franchises don't want to go through the paperwork.
1
Psh a collective of misfits, rallying behind a fascist misfit to oppose a misfit and pushing him towards another communist nation of misfits. Testament that the left inevitably attack themselves and drag everyone else with them.
1
Coward.

Why is everyone sounding and acting surprised? NATO having been WANTING this war for years...
1
Far more to it then what people are being told - face it: with the logistical support Ukraine has been receiving the world over, if they were winning, this would have been done with in a few weeks to months at most. There's something rather off about it all.
1
You speak as if any parliament has ever not been shambolic; guised under the farce of democracy.
1
@GoodKingMort Oh please, he was just as much a shill for the establishment as anyone else. As for "Getting an entire generation into politics" what you actually mean is he got them all to bite into the same delusion of "democracy" that the one before them did.
1
Prepared to don the jack boots and strut with your right hand jousted out? We should have had a full Brexit without that ridiculous deal that tied us in more knots then anyone should have thought. The establishment didn't WANT Brexit, the people did and when the Remain vote failed, Cameron was quick to skulk off like a coward and the establishment have done everything to make it that miserable that we wind up back in again, if not already with all the "Sign ups" we were made to agree to under Teresa May and Johnson - the latter of who only sided with Leave as a means of accelerating his career.
1
@glynnwright1699 Exactly - he only ever put the referendum out in an attempt to silence the eurosceptics for the remainder of his career. And alas it backfired so he toddled off with his tail between his legs.
1
Wasn't convenient then... the whole thing is a farce; and I say this siding with neither side.
1
So you basically want to continue things as they are: because voting one party or any other simply does just that. Reform will be no different - mark my words.
