"Independence", bankruptcy, no currency and destitution with no accessible resources and businesses. Yeah, good luck with that, Kostas.

Nice in theory but impossible in practice

Yeah l agree - I'll be interested to see how quick they'll sell themselves out upon the realisation of bankruptcy in a country that no longer has a currency.
2
@briancarton1804 "Hard won independence" which was quickly surrendered to the EU... How's the Lisbon treaty going by the way?
2
@cheeseonion5117 and to answer your question - how many times now in the last five years has the "Great Queen" Nicola come begging for a bailout from the very parliament she claims to want free of? And this while Scotland is IN the union.
2
@SSJfraz 😂 Explain just how Scotland will be able to afford the conditions of entering that failed bloc - when it's currency will be non existent upon independence and it's debt ratio far too high from what it will be expected to inherit from leaving? And so much for "Independent Scotland" if the first thing you'd want to do is go begging to Brussels to have them take over. Oh wait, unsurprising how it's just two fingers up to the English and Sturgeon's jump for a cushy job.
2
@Graeme Roberts try and see any country in that failed bloc make a trade arrangement outside ot without Brussels turning around to say "Em no, not unless we're included".
2
@Graeme Roberts 😂 Delusional. 27 countries having to band together to have the thought of outperforming a union of four. 👏 Bra~vo~. Once we have an actual government that can actually do its job to have the UK self invest, the EU will slump faster then the Austrian painter did after pulling the trigger.
2
@Graeme Roberts 😂 If you say so - a currency, if even possible Scotland would have to give up and join the Euro whilst contributing.... what exactly? The debt inherited from the division? Oh I'm sure Greece and Spain would LOVE to have to cough up... delusional.
2
@Nick-kb6jd well given the union was first created in the 1700s after the Lords of Scotland had essentially bankrupted the country and came knocking for a bailout..
1
@TroyaE117 the Scottish budget which she's already blown countless times and had to go to the very parliament she spurns for a bail out.

@mrdhillon6852 more informed in some ways but dissuaded from being so in others. In society today so many new norms are so frequently imposed with a penchant of rebuke should they be rightfully scrutinised and criticised that the very purpose of the theory gets lost very early on. Instead of a choice between two, you end up with a choice of one - eliminating the very philosophy of democracy it is sworn to defend. Proportional representation works, when society is stable, but we're far from such; we're a cluttered mess of complexity ultimately driven towards that one end result. The one and only time all sides would agree - a solution is needed and the ones providing it almost never offer it without cost. In our case, our liberties of speech, choice and so forth are sacrificed for the sake of a harmony that just never happens - lest we end up with another Austrian painter or Bolshevik upstart.
1
You should know - it was a Scottish Queen who founded it.
1
Rubbish - when you voted in 14 to remain you accepted the terms of a referendum, UK wide over Brexit.
1
@briancarton1804 and that's what you call for being "independent" is it? Hardly shows for much - not to mention how you're restricted to the whim of Brussels which seem to want to renounce all nationalities in its "bloc" and become the USE. I mean don't get me wrong - you went independent, I can respect that. As an non-imperial, the establishment got what it deserved, and I'm still against the monarchy, but with the grovelling to the EU combined with submission of your own identity, the ROI single handedly rendered it's independence meaningless.
1
@SSJfraz and you think being "independant" will do better. Oh wait you want to try rejoining the fourth reich so that goes to show just how "independant and free" Scotland wants to be. Just free enough to give Sturgeon a cushy job for life to which she'll fob you all off. I don't believe in Karma, but in irony, I'm a huge fan.
1
@kirsteneasdale5707 and just how are you going to build means to utilise them without industry and an economy to fund them? Oh and again the oil and gas - most of which in the UK belongs to the UK and Scotland's share belongs to partly with the Shetlands who are pro UK. And let's not forget again, oil and gas is being devalued by Net Zero. So that's not quite going to help.
1
@cheeseonion5117 how didn't I?
1
@Martooo251 no the UK'S only real problem is that it's government and opposition are completely inept. That can be easily resolved. When was the last time the average individual in Spain or France voted for the bint and her lackeys in Brussels? Or even got offered the chance to? It is a failed bloc - it's just another reich in pretense of democracy.
1
@Joker-yw9hl and how do they make that cash? I didn't elect any of them nor would I; why should we work ourselves to death when all they do is stuff their faces? I'm pro UK but the idea of monarchy; much like the political bloc the EU tries to acclaim to be, as well as imperialism and globalism is outdated and excessive.
1
Nothing really Nicola didn't get her way so she's kept sulking.
1
Honestly I hope you do; I'd give you six months to be fair, before coming back asking for help.
