And that's what happens with quantitive easing. You used to be able to buy a buffalo for a dollar - a live living buffalo - hence the term a buck to define a dollar. Or in the UK a pound of solid gold was worth a pound in coin. Now do you know the worth of a buffalo and the value of a single pound of solid gold? I'll spare you the answer - a buffalo today can cost approximate two thousand dollars and a pound of gold in Britain is worth approximately twenty five thousand pounds (Approximately thirty thousand dollars) that's what quantitive easing has done and what backing a currency on debt rather then physical collateral does.

@jnc1028 Of course, they want people desperate and dependant, not defiant and dignified in their own self-reliance. Can't control a person who can't be given something that they need or not foolish enough to take something that they may want but with a caviate.
