A piece of paper does not protect rights - only a person with the solid brass has the means to protect their own rights. Anything given to you by others are nothing but privileges that can just as easily be taken away. Case in point - your "constitution" has been amended... how many times now??

@niaralosusa those two things are exactly the same thing. No such thing as an anti-racist because everyone is. To one degree or another people are driven by a bias, but these claiming to be "anti-racist" simply hide their bias behind a veil of moral posture and indignation. Hypocrites.

@joekool1907 It matters not - if an amendment can be made it immediately leaves open the door to others and so what safeguards your ideal amendment from the next one - whether it be put in place today or in some year yet to come. You want YOUR rights? Then YOU have to stand your ground for them. Anything less and you lose them all.

@joekool1907 Your founding fathers had their issues and their contrary habits against their philosophies, none of that stops what you've detailed to be true. And frankly as a self proficient man, I cannot help but respect them for wanting to be free of imperial rule. Do well to keep your personal liberty; those consumed in the show are by the puppeteers, ensnared.

@Clericoftheages There's only one thing restricting the power of government: not putting them in power at all - once you give charlatans power over you, you almost never get it back and those running for politics are the textbook definition of charlatan.
