  1. Blame the players: if everyone turned around and said "Fuck this, we're not buying it" they'd change their tune real quick. First paid DLC, then pay to play online, then loot boxing, now deliberate content removal and paywalling. They got away with each one (Lootboxing only getting a legal backhand because of political focus on the gambling aspect) and are looking to get away with more. They'd charge for each button press if they could.

  3.  @st20332  That's why back in the day a game had to be GOOD before it was released. It's a little thing we old folk liked to refer to as "Quality Control" and "Getting your bang for your buck" The younger generations have settled for less and behold the result.
