  2. They already have. They even have a parasite that when it affects humans, causes them to be obsessed with them.

  3. They catch and keep vermin in check; better than any bird of prey by a huge ratio. Plus a well fed cat will often do it simply for sport - its why you often see them on farms; especially those expertising in wheat, oats and other fauna used for food.
