  1. I paddled up stream from Kennedy all the way to Colfax three days ago. In some areas the river is only 6 inches deep. I got beached and had to push the Kayak. Thing is it went up over my knees in the mud pushing myself. That’s the Little Calumet. That river goes from 6 inches to 10 feet from where it’s dredged. And it’s all thick sticky mud.

  3. They said they searched with sonar. Me and my kid took the kayaks from Kennedy up stream all the way to Colfax and back. The river is mud! Some areas 6 inches others 10+ feet. If you step in it expect the mud to go to your upper thigh. It’s that sticky lose your shoe mud. There’s footage of him getting in the water. I think we know how this is gonna end.

Unless foul play is involved. Not likely considering there’s footage of him going in the water. I was in it a few days ago. It’s thick sticky mud. Up to your waste.

  5. The family was in town for a wedding. The grandmother was with him in a hotel. He simply walked out. They have footage of him leaving and apparently footage of him going into the Little Calumet River. The river is not deep at all in some areas, others it drops off due to dredging and development. The river is stick slimy MUD. The kind that if you step in it you lose your shoe. I paddled that river from Kennedy to Colfax Monday looking for that kid and had to get in up to my waist. He’s a 12 year old NON verbal autistic child. 12 years old physically but mentally who knows. The area surround the hotel is either industrial or swamp.

  10. I was in the river up to my waist the day after that kid went missing. It wasn’t as cold as you might think. It’s mostly shallow. There are some deep areas due to dredging cause of development but mostly knee deep.

Their “interpretation” of the footage of him leaving the hotel is him “getting into the river” I don’t have Facebook so news travels slower for me. I’m going to go from Colfax downstream as far as I can probably Monday. If I’m able. I heard they damned the river?

  20. When he was governor we had less litter on the streets. Used to have community service personnel picking it up. Now it’s out of control. I’m on the waste team for the calumet river and it’s so bad. All that trash is going into the water ways. Cause and effect! He went away and the place went to the dumps

  21.  @ffjsb  - It wasn’t that bad actually. Temp was cold but not Lake Michigan cold. Just MUD! Thick oooze MUD! I was barefoot cause my shoes got stuck in it. Not deep enough in most areas. Actually, I had my feet out of the kayak in the water here and there. So it’s not what your thinking.

  27. The river is thick sticky MUD. If you step in it, expect it to go well above your knees. It’s slimy ooze MUD. Sucks your shoes off mud. I took my shoes off when I was in it last week.
