@toriarose 2nd attempt to explain this: no it is not worse for women. Men are the most likely to be homeless, to die from homelessness, to get murdered on the street or sent to the hospital from street violence. They are the least likely to have shelter access and the most likely to get harassed by police.

@qjtvaddict I don't think that reflects on all the homeless people. There are bound to be some among homeless people, just like there are violent people who have homes. Though the homeless ones actually have nothing and are treated like literal garbage so I'm more worried about the violence coming from people who have homes...like the police that harass and assault people just for being homeless.

@09daniscool No, on both counts. I disregarded anecdotes because they anyone can claim to have any anecdote about anything, but it cannot be verified. So it proves exactly nothing. I also rejected the claim you made earlier, not the watered down version you have so quickly backpedaled onto. Try again.

@toriarose First off, don't you ever dare assume whether or not someone has been victimized. Anyone can be a victim, and the notion that it so rarely happens to men that it can be disregarded is an ugly lie that covers up abuse. Secondly, no your article does not do that. You're cherrypicking a non-comprehensive review about one place, at one time. It doesn't even attempt to look at more than threats or sexual violence. Which obviously limits the scope to literally the only things that more often happen to women, or at least are more often reported by women. We know for a fact that men report both less often. I on the other hand focused on all violence including murder. Leaving that out is fucked up. You are obviously trying to gatekeep an issue so fuck off.
