@cassiusdhami9215 FPTP is unrepresentative. It regularly gives all the power to one party that won only a third of the vote, and not even the one that necessarily got the most votes! That can't happen with PR. With FPTP we can't just vote our conscience, because even millions of votes for one party doesn't necessarily mean even one seat. With PR it is very uncommon for voters to not get any representatives from the party they voted for, so they can choose freely without worrying about strategic-voting. FPTP's winner take all nature does not promote cooperation or faithful representation. It rewards those that treat everything like its win or lose for their party, appealing to the lowest common denominator, always being vague, and not disrupting the status quo. PR makes cooperation necessary. It ensures that voters are accustomed to representation and will not put up with anything else, because they never have to worry about voting their conscience.
